NOAA Weather Radio - NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from a nearby National Weather Service office NWR broadcasts National Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day.
WX - WX was the common telegraph abbreviation for weather. It was used primarily with Morse code, but its use still continues even today; for example, the NOAA Weather Radio channels are numbered WX01 through WX10.
